Pasha was a beautiful raven-black bitch standing 25" tall. Tragically, at the start of 2015, I left her at a friend's house overnight while visiting a relative who was ill, and shortly after we got back home she developed gastric dilatation volvulus, a horrible condition that can affect large dogs (and numerous other species) and is thought to be triggered by stressful events, and she was taken from us far too soon. I miss her every day more than words can say. She was a friendly, cuddly poodle with a bombproof temperament who loved to be with me and learn anything I tried to train her. Pasha is the mother of Adhara.
Pasha and I learned Ringcraft together and had a go at a few shows in autumn 2013. Pasha placed in some of the shows despite having a rubbish handler and a non-show haircut! In 2014 she had grown a show haircut and went to some more shows, and although she had fun and taught me lots, I decided both of us would like something more exciting that involved less standing around waiting, so I sheared her coat off. She obtained her KCGC Bronze award at a show, but unfortunately due to the higher level tests not being frequently available, we never got round to doing the tests for them. Pasha was accepted as a therapy dog by the Pets As Therapy (PAT) organisation, and before her untimely death we had begun training together for working trials.
